Full FAQ
“A TON OF FUN!” is usually what people say! A lot of people describe the adventures here at Quest Hub as virtual escape rooms or murder mysteries, and if you’ve ever been in an escape room, you may find our format familiar. But don’t worry, there’s no experience necessary of any sort – not even video games or technology.
Your group gets together on a video platform, like Zoom, with a live actor host. Your host will go over rules and introduce the story. Your mission? Use the clues you hear and see to tackle a variety of puzzles and challenges, all leading to one epic group goal. Different characters, puzzles, and fun challenges will appear on your screen. You and your group decide how you want to interact with each character and challenge. Your host will voice the different characters you encounter and help you discover clues to complete your quest. Everyone plays together collaboratively, winning together at the end!
Many of our games have video trailers that give you an inside look into that specific game. We also offer a free game (Escape Planet Q) twice a week. Join in a session to play a free game, and we’ll help walk you through everything. It’s the perfect opportunity to get a sneak peek, ask questions, and see how much fun your adventure can be.
Just a willingness to have fun! Joining a game is as simple as clicking on a Zoom link. From there your host will go over the rules and you’ll start playing. No outside knowledge or special skills are required.
Got the jitters or any last minute questions? The game hosts have got your back, arriving ten minutes before the start time of every game to help troubleshoot.
We offer different levels of difficulty for our games! If you pick the wrong one, no worries, our hosts can adapt and change your game on the fly.
Beginner level is great for smaller groups (3 people or less) or groups who are newer to puzzle games. If you haven’t done many digital puzzle games, this is a great level for you. We also have a separate “Beginner – Kids” level if the primary players are younger kids (12 and under).
Intermediate level is our standard game. This level is great for larger or mid-sized groups, or smaller groups who have played a few puzzle games before. Most of our groups play this level. If you aren’t sure which level to pick, and have 3 or more players, this is the level we’d recommend.
Expert level is for larger experienced groups who are looking for a challenge. If your group has played dozens of puzzle games together, this is a great level for you.
If in doubt, we recommend our intermediate level! We don’t limit you on the number of hints, so no matter what level you play, you can ask for unlimited help!
Yes, all of our games are family friendly. If you’re playing with kids under 12, we recommend you select “Kids Beginnger Level” when prompted at checkout.
Sure thing! We can host your game on any of these platforms. You can choose which platform or ask to use another one during check out. If you don’t know which, just leave the default to Zoom which will be the easiest for you to join from your computer.

If your goal is to kick back, unwind, and make some memories, “Just for Fun” is your go-to choice. It’s all about having a blast and making the most of your time.
In addition to all of the fantastic features in the “Just for Fun” option, our “Team Skill Building” games include puzzles and tasks that specifically require your teams to work on their collaboration skills. Our “Team Skill-Building” games are led by both an actor host and a team building consultant. They are designed to require teams to work together and improve specific team skills. Challenges will develop groups in four areas: team collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking, and culture. These events foster strong team bonds and provide participants with skills applicable in diverse real-world situations. They’re like an adventure packed workshop!
At the end of our Team Skill Building games, your group participates in a 15-minute development session with a consultant to review how your group did, and what you can do to continue building these skills.
You bet!

Quest Hub is an online platform that brings virtual teams together to have fun and build teamwork. We help them have a lot of fun while doing it!
Our team is made of award-winning game designers and business consultants who have come together to improve how teams connect online. In tandem with our virtual experiences, we also provide consulting, team feedback, and concrete action plans to improve team performance and engagement.
After originally opening as Fantasy Escape Games and later as Great Team Building, we are in the process of rebranding as Quest Hub. We aim to more accurately reflect our fun online team events niche, and plan to continue expanding our offerings beyond our original escape room games. You may find both logos on our site and in our experience trailers – rest assured that we are the same team of hosts, designers, and business consultants.
As Fantasy Escape Games and Great Team Building, we have proudly hosted 850+ teams, earned 200+ five-star reviews across the internet, and won two Bullseye awards for our experiences. While grateful for all our success so far, we continue to strive to make our experiences better and better, always delivering your team a great experience.
We can accommodate remote teams of any size. All of our games can be played with as few as just one player, with the exception of our murder mystery events, which require a minimum of 5 players. We’ve run games with over 100s of players in one session.
Whether you have a small group or a large team spread across different locations, we adjust our games to match any size team. Our experiences can be tailored to ensure that everyone has a meaningful and enjoyable time, all while building important connections that keeps your team smiling even while physically apart.
Generally, yes! If your group is over 10 people (or over 20 people for our murder mysteries) we will divide you into teams of 10 people each. You can request that we keep you all together instead, if you would rather play as one team. However, we find that dividing teams up in this way gives everyone a lot of opportunity to participate as an individual with their team.
Have a large group you want to have play all together? Check out our game Space Defenders! This game specifically divides players into teams of 10, and has players work together between teams so everyone still feels like they are collaborating together.
No specialized equipment is needed–only a working web browser and a video call platform of your choice. Our platform is web-based, and participants can access and play our escape rooms using a standard internet browser on their computers. Some games also work on tablets and smartphones. If you are concerned about accessibility, please contact us about the specific devices to which you have access.
For a few of our events (such as Deadly Dining), if you have a company firewall or other security, we will send you instructions before your game to make sure your participants can access all necessary web pages.
Certainly. Our platform is user-friendly and accessible. We provide clear instructions and support to ensure that even teams with limited tech experience can easily join and enjoy the escape room adventure.
We recommend starting with Ghosts of Craven Manor or Dark Tower for those newer to video conferencing.
